Andrew is an exceptional teacher - he has instilled a real passion for the guitar and music generally in my son (9) who looks forward to his lessons every week!

I’ve been having guitar lessons with Andrew for the last month and would definitely recommend him. He’s patient, friendly and funny, and makes learning guitar really enjoyable. I started as a complete beginner and within a few weeks I’ve learned several songs, started learning scales and picked up some music theory along the way. Great teacher!

Andy is an all round great guy. He is super easy to get along with, personable, engaging and is an excellent teacher for a whole range of potential learners. He is very welcoming, accommodating and open, and I thoroughly recommend him to anybody.

Honestly, Andy is an incredible teacher. I was worried music theory and technique would feel dry or overwhelming, but he breaks everything down so naturally and keeps every session genuinely fun. My chord changes are smoother and my rhythm has improved a ton in just a short time. If you’re looking to learn guitar without getting frustrated, go with Andy!

Andrew is a brilliant guitar tutor. He keeps the lessons relaxed and enjoyable, and does a great job of explaining things without making them complicated. I had never played before but I’ve already made great progress with songs, technique and theory. Highly recommend!

A bit more about lessons
What’s your teaching style? +
Every lesson is tailored to the student, combining technique, creativity and real musical understanding in a fun, supportive environment where you learn to play with confidence and expression.
What makes your lessons different? +
I help students move beyond simply learning songs to understanding the guitar as a tool for creativity, confidence and genuine musical expression, so you can eventually work things out, improvise and create for yourself.
What will my first lesson be like? +
Relaxed and enjoyable. The first lesson focuses on confidence, enjoyment and making music right away. Many students are playing something recognisable before they leave.
Where is your studio, and is parking available? +
Lessons take place at my home studio in Enfield Town, about a 10-minute walk from Enfield Town station. There is on-street parking on the road opposite; please check local signs for any restrictions or charges.
